Estelle Gonzalez is a British-French violist currently studying at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. She began her musical journey on the violin at the age of 6 before transitioning to the viola at 18.

 

Under the guidance of Lucy Nolan, member of the Elbana String Trio, Estelle has continued to develop her individual voice and artistry equally as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player. She recently won a place on the BBC Philharmonic’s Professional Experience Scheme and performs regularly with her multi-prize-winning group, Juna Quartet. Estelle has also taken part in masterclasses with distinguished musicians, including Timothy Ridout, Nobuko Imai, and Sindy Mohamed.

 

In her spare time, she enjoys composing, playing netball and reading fiction.
