She is currently in her fourth year of undergraduate study at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in Manchester, where she studies composition with Steven Daverson and Sam Salem.

Emily’s music has been performed widely across Manchester. A recent highlight was the premiere of her work for orchestra and electronics by the Manchester Contemporary Orchestra at the RNCM Concert Hall. She is looking forward to her Bridgewater Hall debut in June 2026 in Manchester, after being awarded the RNCM’s annual Symphony Orchestra commission. In addition to concert music, she has composed for media, with her commercial projects reaching audiences of over 50,000.

She has extensive experience in arranging, having collaborated with artists such as Tim Burgess and Helen O’Hara for performances at the RNCM Opera Theatre and on the main stage at Kendal Calling. Emily’s orchestral arrangements for May Payne contributed to a performance that earned the RNCM Gold Medal. She is also an arranger for Abbey Road via Oxford Road, a group dedicated to reimagining Beatles classics for performances across Manchester.

Alongside her work as a composer and arranger, Emily is a dedicated music teacher with experience in schools throughout Manchester. She focuses on helping students build a well-rounded musical foundation while encouraging their individual creativity.
